Hiking

Explore the many marked trails in the Lot, suitable for all levels and all desires.

• The more athletic among you can tackle the Autoire waterfalls or the Padirac chasm .
• Families will prefer gentler walks along the banks of the Lot or in the medieval villages of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie or Rocamadour .
• Walkers will enjoy the itinerant hikes that cross the length and breadth of the Lot. You will be spoiled for choice: GR®65, 651, 6, 36, 46 not to mention the possible loops...

Horse riding

Discover the Lot in a different way, by letting yourself be guided by your mount through the causses of Quercy or the valleys of the Dordogne and the Lot . Several equestrian centers offer rides and treks for all levels.

Cycling tour

Get on your bike and set off to discover the varied landscapes of the Lot, following the greenways laid out along the old railway lines or taking the small country roads.

Hot air balloon ride

Take to the skies and admire the Lot from a unique angle during a hot air balloon flight. You will fly over the castles , villages and natural landscapes of the department, all in gentleness and poetry.

Around L'Escale de Varaire, several easy hikes are available to you. One leaves directly from the gîte to go to Beauregard, another takes you to the Cros losses around Saillac.
