Two houses, two ideas of simplicity and authenticity

Located in Varaire, a charming and discreet village in the heart of the Causse de Limogne, our old farm full of charm is made up of two renovated houses with a certain idea of autonomy and ecology: water filtration plant, rainwater recovery for the garden and swimming pool, solar power plant, selective waste sorting, vegetable garden, compost and dry toilets.

Welcome pilgrims (GR®65, 36 and 46), hikers and other travelers in search of meaning: Our main house is a warm welcome where you can rest and regain your strength in the room of your choice and according to your needs (see our specific offers "pilgrim lodgings" and "Bed and Breakfast"). The open swimming pool, accessible under conditions, is also a good reason to put down your backpack with us.

Welcoming family or group of friends: MAISON 1765, rated 3 stars and able to accommodate up to 9 people, opens its doors to you. This typical Quercy house, with its sun-drenched boletus terrace, its swimming pool and its pergola with summer kitchen and plancha, invites you to relax and enjoy a friendly atmosphere. Ideal for summer or school holidays, weekends and bank holidays, it offers a peaceful and revitalizing setting.

Varaire, a historic stage on the Way of St. James

Between Cajarc and Cahors, the GR®65 crosses the village. You are now only 1208 km from Santiago de Compostela! In addition to its pretty dry stone walls, its wash house and its dolmens, you also have a multi-service grocery store, the only one available up to Cahors. The GR®36 and 46 also cross the village. Be careful not to get confused!

The Lot, with its rolling landscapes, its heritage, its stone villages steeped in history, some of which are known to be among the most beautiful in France, is an invitation to discovery and escape. 1h30 from Toulouse or Brive, near Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, Rocamadour, the Padirac chasm, the Pech Merle caves, Les Phosphatières, Cordes-sur-Ciel (82) or Najac (12), L'ESCALE DE VARAIRE is the ideal starting point to explore the treasures of Quercy or neighboring regions.
